Tyrese has been open about his disdain over how his marriage to Samantha Lee went and continued to discuss the matter in his new single “Love Transaction.” In the song, Tyrese calls out Lee for using their daughter for $20,000/mo child support and expressed the frustration he’s experienced as a result.
Some of the lyrics that reveal Tyrese’s feelings about the failed marriage include: “Dragging me in and out of court / Trying to take all that I’ve been working for / Can you justify what you say the baby needs? / Don’t I make sure she has everything? / 20,000 isn’t child support / We both know just who that money’s for.”
Over the weekend, Tyrese took to Instagram where he doubled down on the sentiment expressed in his new single. “I felt like my whole marriage was a big f****** joke. Just a transaction. I got married to do it for the rest of my life. I guess it was all a game to her. So it is what it is.”
According to Hollywood Unlocked, the Fast & the Furious actor is currently appealing the amount he dishes out monthly for child support.
