Singer Joeboy has clapped back at critics who have been labeling his music as “mid.”
In a recent podcast appearance on ‘Backstage Banter’, Joeboy confidently declared that there’s nothing “mid” about his existence.
He argued that his success at a young age is proof of his hard work and dedication, and that critics are just unhappy with their own lives.
Joeboy questioned the meaning of “mid” and suggested that it’s just a popular buzzword being used to attack others.
“There is nothing ‘mid’ about my existence. The fact that I have been able to get so far at such a young age in my career and still have my head on my shoulders is not ‘mid’ in any way.
“I also feel like the people criticizing me are generally not happy with life. Because if you’re genuinely happy with your life, you would not pick up your phone and start attacking somebody.
“What exactly is ‘mid’? I think it was just a word that got too popular, and people just started using it,” he said.
