Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has implored Islamic adherents to emulate Prophet Muhammad, saying his life and teachings will continue to inspire generations to come.

In a statement, yesterday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the nation’s fourth citizen reminded the faithful that the period of birthday calls for sober reflection amid peace exhibited by the prophet.

He charged all Nigerians to imbibe virtues of charity, forgiveness, honesty and
patriotism as some of the qualities needed to move the country forward.

Abbas equally begged the citizenry to use the ceremony to pray for their political, religious and traditional leaders, while expressing hope that the supplications and collective efforts by stakeholders would salvage the nation.

Also, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has felicitated with the celebrants and party supporters.

In a statement, yesterday, in Abuja, by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, the immediate past governor of Kano State pleaded with Nigerians of various persuasions to remain tolerant and peaceful for the unity and progress of Nigeria.

Urging support for the President Bola Tinubu administration, Ganduje said: “Warmest wishes to you and your loved ones on this day. May Allah fill your heart with lots of joy, peace and good health.

“Let us also use the occasion to pray for our country and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he takes very bold steps to reposition the country on the path of growth and prosperity.”
“The APC-led administration needs your support, understanding and indeed, sacrifice to end the present economic downturn. This will engender our path to economic revival and rejuvenation of the well-being of all citizens.”
